horton hears a who

"a person's a person no matter how small". Horton, the unmanifested elephant, had "ears to hear" a Who. He was their advocate in the cosmic jungle and 'told the story' of the people living on a 'spec' in his flower. This movie demonstrates what every culture has in common. Brilliant. There is so much more that brings us together than apart.

The "moral authority"/ego and 'spec' managing kangaroo lady was not demonized in the end. I thought this went really well with Chiekos talk Friday. "I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephants faithful 100 percent." "Just me and my spec shooting the breeze. We're a club. We're a group. We can be a secret society and no one else can join unless they wear funny hats!" ..and keep their word.. lol

The book is great. We bought it for the kids on Christmas and while I was reading it I started to cry! The kids thought I was going CRAZY!

It'll be fun to watch it with you when it comes out. I liked the Grinch, oddly enough, so I'm pretty sure that this'll be entertaining too - with a good message, of course. :P

Whata nice paraghraphs... and funny. "A persons a person no matter how small," Horton quoted."Thats my code... my motto..." as well as "This is where we get off! Cool line... usually I can't theink of those things till later..." What a funny movie.
